On this day (6/12) in 2003, the National Academy of Popular Music/Songwriters Hall of Fame held the 34th Annual Inductions and Awards Dinner at New York City’s Marriott Marquis Hotel. The dinner was held to honor and induct Queen, Van Morrison, Phil Collins, and Little Richard into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The Songwriters Hall of Fame seeks to not only carry out the legacy of those who’ve written culturally enriching music but also to encourage future writing talent through education, scholarships, workshops, and more.
Now, what better way to honor their accomplishments than by listening to some Van the Man and Queen?
